Who is responsible for your information

Industry Connect LLC, an Arizona limited liability company, operates Hvac Connects and is responsible for the personal information processed by this service. Contact us using the email or mailing address below.

Information we collect

We collect the account identity and verified email provided through Clerk; profile contact details, city, state, ZIP, qualifications, preferences and availability; employer organization information; listings, applications, offers and messages; uploaded credentials, optional photos and resumes; employer reviews; subscription identifiers and status; consent timestamps and submitted profile-visibility choices; support requests; and security or administrator activity records. Stripe handles card and bank payment details. We do not store full payment card numbers.

How information is used

We use information to authenticate accounts, provide matching and hiring tools, store documents and resumes, process membership access, communicate about the service, investigate abuse, administer privacy requests, and comply with legal obligations. Rate limits and technical logs help prevent misuse. Resume drafts remain private to their owner. The guided resume builder formats information you provide; it does not send that information to an external AI writing service.

Profile visibility at setup

For a new professional profile, Let employers find me is enabled by default after we display a sharing notice during setup. You may turn it off before creating your profile. We save the setting you submit and record the choice, policy version and timestamp. This default does not change existing profiles or their saved visibility choices. You can switch off discovery in My profile and save, or hide your profile immediately through Privacy & account controls. Hiding does not prevent applications or messaging, erase previous disclosures, or guarantee that an employer has deleted a copy already received.

Who can see your information

For profiles with discovery on, unsubscribed employers see professional names and rating summaries. Paid employers can see discoverable professional profiles, optional photos, availability and the names of uploaded credentials and resumes. ZIP codes are used to match approximate search distance; credential and resume files remain restricted to employers whose jobs you apply to. Directory responses do not include contact email or phone. Employers whose jobs you apply to may access your shared credentials and resume, including contact information you place in those documents. Conversation participants can read their messages. Authorized administrators can review profiles, documents, messages and reviews for support and safety. Hiding a profile stops new directory discovery but does not erase an employer’s prior communications or application history.

Service providers and disclosures

We use Clerk for authentication, Stripe for billing, and Sites/Cloudflare services for hosting, storage and delivery. These providers process information needed for their roles and may process data in the United States and other jurisdictions under their own applicable terms. We may disclose information when reasonably required to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud, or support a business transition subject to applicable privacy protections. We do not provide personal information to data brokers or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Employers pay for recruiting access: when discovery is on, your name and rating are available to signed-in employers and your full professional profile is available to paid employers. Applying separately directs us to share your profile and documents with that employer. This is the paid-directory disclosure; turn discovery off during setup if you do not want that sharing. You can stop new directory sharing through Privacy & account controls or submit an opt-out request.

Public-page visitor analytics — added September 27, 2026

We measure signed-out visits to public pages to understand site traffic. We temporarily process the network address and browser user-agent to generate a pseudonymous identifier with a secret that changes daily. We store that identifier, the public page path, date, page-view count and last-view time for a rolling 90-day reporting window. Older records are removed on the next daily analytics collection. We do not store raw IP addresses or user-agent strings in these analytics records, set analytics cookies, collect URL query strings or referrers, or link these identifiers to account identities. Administrators see aggregate daily and page totals. We exclude recognized bots and signed-in accounts, and respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Estimates cannot identify individual people or reliably determine whether a signed-out visitor already has an account. Hosting providers may maintain separate technical logs under their policies.

Cookies and device storage

The service uses authentication cookies and similar technology necessary for sign-in and security. Your browser may store a theme preference. We do not currently use advertising trackers. Optional phone verification is disabled unless activated as a separate feature; no text message is sent simply because you enter a phone number. Any future optional marketing, tracking or SMS program requires its own disclosures and choices.

Your choices and requests

You can edit your profile, remove your photo or uploaded credentials, change discovery and availability preferences, download a JSON copy of your account records, and cancel billing online. Privacy & account controls remains available to signed-in members even if a workspace is suspended or updated terms have not been accepted. Use Support or the contact email below to request access, a copy, correction, deletion, account closure, a review-related appeal or other privacy rights. You may submit requests without an account by email, or through an authorized agent whose authority we may verify. We verify requests using your account or other appropriate evidence and ask only for information needed for that verification. Do not send identity documents or sensitive data through ordinary messages or email. We aim to respond within 30 days, and earlier if applicable law requires. We explain any lawful exception or permitted extension. Signed-in requesters can view their request status and the operators’ latest response in Support. A request receipt does not mean the requested action has already happened. You may appeal a denied privacy request by contacting us. We do not penalize you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

Retention and security

We retain account data while needed to provide the service, then as reasonably needed for legal, financial, fraud prevention, dispute and recordkeeping purposes. On an approved, verified deletion request, the operators remove the account, uploaded files, resumes, profiles, listings, applications and conversation copies and end linked subscriptions. Minimal deletion and administrator audit records are retained for security, accountability and legal obligations. Stripe may retain historic payment records under its obligations; provider backup and technical-log retention follows provider policies. A submitted deletion request alone does not stop a renewal: use online cancellation while the request is pending. We explain any lawful exception that requires retaining additional information. Copies already shared with employers may remain subject to their own obligations and privacy practices. Access restrictions, HTTPS and private file storage reduce risk, but no service can guarantee absolute security. Report suspected unauthorized access promptly.

Sensitive information and children

This platform is for adult professional hiring. Do not upload confidential customer records, private customer records, biometric identity data, Social Security numbers or background reports. An optional profile photo is not used by the service for facial recognition or biometric identification. We do not knowingly offer accounts to people under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor’s information or prohibited sensitive information was submitted.

State rights and updates

We intend to serve users throughout the United States. Depending on applicable law, additional access, correction, deletion, portability, opt-out or appeal rights may apply. A privacy request is available regardless of whether a particular state law applies to the business. We do not make automated decisions determining eligibility for employment. Employers make their own decisions and must comply with applicable law. We update this notice when practices change and provide notice or obtain consent where required.

Sharing preferences and automated tools

Profile discovery is optional. It starts on during new professional profile setup, with a visible switch and sharing notice before you save. Existing members keep their saved choice. Turning it off limits new directory disclosure but does not retract previously shared applications, downloaded documents, or conversation records. You can remove uploaded credentials to stop later downloads from the service. No advertising trackers, targeted advertising, data-broker feeds, external AI resume-writing service or automated hiring decisions are currently offered. If you use a browser privacy signal, you may also turn off profile discovery or submit an opt-out request; browser signals do not automatically cancel an employer-directed application.
